The Stand-Up™ MRI is the only whole-body MRI scanner with the ability to perform Position™ Imaging(pMRI™).
Patients can be scanned standing, sitting, bending or lying down in:
- Flexion
- Extension
- Rotation
- Lateral Bending
With its unique ability to scan patients in weight-bearing postures, the FONAR Stand-Up™ MRI has identified pathologies gone undetected in conventional lie-down scanners.
Because of its creative geometric design the FONAR Stand-Up™ MRI is remarkably spacious and non-claustrophobic. No material or apparatus is in front of the patient’s face or overhead to create a “closed-in” feeling. Patients typically sit or stand comfortably watching a 42″ television throughout the entire scanning procedure.
